We Got Two King Salmon But The Winds and Waves Sent Us Home Early

This particular outing we started off the morning headed over to Duxbury Point to go after Salmon. We had two of our little girls with us making a crew of 4 but the girls both were slightly sea sick even after taking Dramamine in the early morning. We had some pretty soft swells for what the day was and managed to fish Duxbury Reef for no bites not a single one, so moved to the shipping channel buoys and immediately found bait stacked with potential salmon. We fished 3 lb weights and that proved too hard for the crew so we switched to deep six size 2 to get some ease on the spot resets. We managed to lose one, hook into a barely undersized and brought in two nice King Salmon before the weather kicked us off the water, the swells turned very quickly leaving it very difficult to move back up to the North West spots to reset trolling pattern. The trolling was incoming which left us on the south side of the shipping channel very quickly and was not a position we wanted to stay so we decided it was time to slowly make our approach through the gates. The two have gone Striper and Halibut Fishing before but never for Salmon so this is an entirely new experience for the both of them and we did well for the day. If the weather stayed good we might have had a good shot at our limits but oh well we had a blast.
